Cage Warriors 111 results: Frederick, Bukauskas leave with gold
Although Thanksgiving is six days away, Cage Warriors is helping MMA fans fill up on face punching with a stacked event with three titles on the line.
Cage Warriors 111 goes down Friday at the Indigo at the O2 in London, England and will air on UFC Fight Pass in the United States. In the main event, James Webb defends the Cage Warriors middleweight title against Nathias Frederick in a rematch from their controversial majority draw over the summer at CW 106.
In the co-main event, Mads Burnell looks to improve to 4-0 since being released by the UFC as he defends his featherweight title against Steve Aimable. The challenger has won his last four fights as he looks to capture Cage Warriors gold for the first time.
For the Cage Warriors light heavyweight title, Modestas Bukauskas aims to punch his ticket to the UFC as he makes his first title defense against Italy’s Riccardo Nosiglia.
One of the anticipated bouts on the card was a lightweight matchup between 24-year-old England prospect Paddy Pimblett and former TUF finalist Joe Giannetti. After a big weight miss from Giannetti, the fight will no longer take place on the 2019 finale for the organization.
