Cage Warriors 113 Results – Jones vs. McColgan
Cage Warriors 113 might be one of the few events mixed martial arts fans will get live in the current state of sports. Friday, Cage Warriors brought a lightweight title fight between Mason Jones and Joe McColgan as the Cage Warriors’ main event. In addition to that, a bout originally slated on for the UFC event in London that was canceled, Darren Stewart versus Bartosz Fabinski.
The event was relocated to Manchester and occured behind closed doors, with only fighters and staff in attendance. The entire event aired on UFC Fight Pass, see the results with highlights below. Quick results are at the bottom of the page.
Paddy Pimblett made his return to cage warriors with a dominant first round. He quickly took Decky Dalton to the ground and took his back. It did not take him long to earn the victory after that, with no escape for Dalton, Pimblett earned the first finish on the main card.

While he made a valiant effort, Nathan Jones did not get a chance to work any offense in his bout against David Bear whose pressure proved to be too much for Jones. Bear was able to control all three rounds and win by unanimous decision.
Mason Jones was able to follow through in his promise of becoming the new lightweight champion at Cage Warriors. Towards the end of round one, Jones was able to impose his power once the range was right and deliver a finish.

Fabinski seemed to control Stewart with his pressure for most of the fight. However, that was not before a cut was opened up that would seem to bleed for all three rounds of the bout. Still, even with the cut, Fabinski was able to impose his will on Stewart and while it did not make for the most exciting fight, it earned him a victory.
