Cage Warriors Announces “The Trilogy Strikes Back” For December

Cage Warriors returns to action after delivering the Trilogy in September, the promotion has announced today their second trilogy, title The Trilogy Strikes Back. With a tasteful nod to Star Wars, The Trilogy Strikes Back will take place on December 10-12, featuring Cage Warriors 117, 118, and 119.

The three events will be held with no fans, like the previous trilogy, and will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. The fights will take place at the York Hall in London, where the first Cage Warriors event took place in 2002. President of Cage Warriors, Graham Boylan, confirmed that fights are in the works for The Trilogy Strikes Back and will have multiple title fights.

The promotion has announced no fights for the even yet, but there will surely be huge names on the trio of cards with some of the best young prospects in mixed martial arts that the European regional scene has to offer. Boylan says fights are being made and will be announced in the coming weeks.

Graham Boylan on The Trilogy Strikes Back

After the first trilogy event, Boylan says the enthusiasm for the three cards was insane. “Reaction to the first Trilogy series was off the charts, so we knew we had to do it again.”

He went on to tout the performances of the athletes and looks forward to new athletes getting the same opportunity. “We have guys who pulled off career best performances on the first series wanting to fight again, plus some big new signings almost ready to announce.”

With the success from the first trilogy, Boylan aims even higher with The Trilogy Strikes back. He says, “The plan is to make this bigger and better than before.”
