Official Result: Carlos Ulberg def. Ihor Potieria via TKO (punches) at 2:09 of round one

It’s obvious where Potieria wants this fight, as he shoots on his first takedown attempt just eight seconds in.

Ulberg easily stuffs it and gets to work on the feet.

Potieria comes in to throw a combination, where Ulberg counters with a nasty check left hook that immediately floors the Ukrainian. Some follow up punches later and the fight was stopped, with Ulberg picking up his fourth-straight victory, and his third-straight first round knockout today at UFC on ABC 4.

1-0 as a professional boxer, 19-2 as a professional kickboxer with 12 knockouts, and now 8-1 as a mixed martial artist with six knockouts. Carlos Ulberg is really coming into his own as of late.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
