On Tuesday night, Luis Gonzalez joined My MMA News reporter Kyle Carroll for an interview on Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast. Gonzalez is competing in a New Jersey amateur bout on the Dead Serious MMA 25 card. His bout takes place on April 8, 2017, in Freehold, New Jersey.

Gonzalez (East Coast United BJJ) spoke to Carroll about several different topics. He informed everyone why he’s competing in New Jersey, his timetable to turning pro, and his week of training down in New Mexico at one of the world’s most renowned gyms in all of MMA.

The East Coast United BJJ fighter (6-1) holds several featherweight amateur belts in New York and plans to place another crown on his mantel at Dead Serious MMA 25, on April 8, 2017.

Kyle Carroll is a Long Island, N.Y. native and avid MMA and amateur wrestling fan. He has been a part of the wrestling community for nearly 20 years. Carroll has six years of experience coaching high school wrestling. His father coached high school wrestling over 35 years, passing on his strong knowledge. Carroll has been reporting MMA news since January 2011.
