Chase Sherman

Chase Sherman steps in to face Alexandr Romanov on five days notice

Originally slated to meet Alexandr Romanov at this weekend’s UFC Fight Night, Tanner Boser has had to pull from the bout due to an injury.

To take Boser’s place will be Chase Sherman (15-9-0). This will mark his third run with the UFC, having been released from the promotion in 2018 and again just last week. Now having been re-signed with the promotion, Sherman will look to snap his three-fight skid and get back in the win column.

In order to snap that skid, Sherman will have to overcome undefeated heavyweight Romanov.

With a professional record of 15-0-0, the submission ace holds victories over the likes of Roque Martinez, Marcos Rogerio de Lima, and Juan Espino. In his most recent outing, he defeated Jared Vanderaa by way of ground and pound.

The three-round heavyweight showdown will take place at the UFC Apex on April 23rd. The card is to be headlined by former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade and surging contender Amanda Lemos.
