Chris Curtis Stops Brendan Allen At UFC Vegas 44
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Las Vegas, Nevada once again tonight, December 4, 2021, for UFC on ESPN 31, headlined by former multi-time WEC & UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who faces fellow top ranked bantamweight contender Rob Font in the main event of the evening.
Co-headlining the event is a pair of kickboxing champions in Brad Riddell and Rafael Fiziev, both of which are looking to make it five-straight inside the octagon.
The second bout on the main card tonight, following our main card opener between Alex Morono and Mickey Gall, came in the middleweight division between Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis.

Official Result: Chris Curtis def. Brendan Allen via TKO (punches) at 1:58 of round two
Round 1
The first five is very competitive between these two, as Curtis lands some hard punches to the head and body, and Allen mixes up his attack beautifully.
Allen did secure a momentary takedown, though Curtis got right back up.
Allen goes for a leg lock in the last 30 seconds of the round and ends up on bottom, where Curtis remains on top until the buzzer.
Round 2
Allen is pressuring very well, and evading most of Curtis’ strikes, aside from the shovel hooks.
Well, just as we’re thinking that, Curtis lands a thunderous punch, beginning with a series of body shots, stunning Allen badly. Allen tries to tie up and regain his composure, but is unable to, as he falls to his back while the fight is stopped.
