Official Result: Chris Curtis def. Brendan Allen via TKO (punches) at 1:58 of round two
The first five is very competitive between these two, as Curtis lands some hard punches to the head and body, and Allen mixes up his attack beautifully.
Allen did secure a momentary takedown, though Curtis got right back up.
Allen goes for a leg lock in the last 30 seconds of the round and ends up on bottom, where Curtis remains on top until the buzzer.
Allen is pressuring very well, and evading most of Curtis’ strikes, aside from the shovel hooks.
Well, just as we’re thinking that, Curtis lands a thunderous punch, beginning with a series of body shots, stunning Allen badly. Allen tries to tie up and regain his composure, but is unable to, as he falls to his back while the fight is stopped.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That’s the first fight I saw, and the fight that got me hooked on the sport. Since then, the sport has grown so rapidly, and my goal is to enlighten everyone on what’s going on in the sport today.
