Curtis Blaydes tells fans if they expect a standup war ‘you probably shouldn’t tune in to the main event’
Curtis Blaydes has given fans a heads up about how the UFC on ESPN 11 main event will go.
Blaydes is looking to extend his winning streak when he battles top-10 opponent, Alexander Volkov. It is a very intriguing bout where “Razor” is a sizeable favorite with books having him around a -430 favorite. His wrestling will no doubt come into play. But last time out he stood and traded with Junior dos Santos to score a TKO win. But, he makes it clear that is not the game plan this time out.
FYI if y’all were hoping to see a 25 minute stand up war you probably shouldn’t tune in to the main event cause I fully intend on ragdolling my opponent just figured I’d let y’all know ahead of time 🤷🏾♂️

“FYI if y’all were hoping to see a 25 minute stand up war you probably shouldn’t tune in to the main event cause I fully intend on ragdolling my opponent, just figured I’d let y’all know ahead of time,” Blaydes tweeted.
Fans then tweeted him asking if it was reverse psychology where Volkov would be expecting the takedowns. Yet, Blaydes says that is not the case as he knows wrestling gets him wins.
Curtis Blaydes also says he doesn’t want to stand and bang and get CTE which is why he wrestles.
They can call it what they want but it’s won many fights in this promotion and that’s the name of the game win. Idk if ppl realize this but I get paid twice as much for winning not to stand and bang and get uneccessary CTE 🤷🏾♂️

Curtis Blaydes enters this fight on a three-fight winning streak where last time out he beat dos Santos in the main event of UFC Raleigh. Before that, Razor TKO’d Shamil Abdurakhimov and earned a decision win over Justin Willis. His only two losses in the UFC came at the hands of Francis Ngannou.
Alexander Volkov, meanwhile, returned to the win column last time out with a decision win over Greg Hardy. In the fight before, he suffered a third-round knockout loss to Derrick Lewis.
