Dalton Rosta Talks ATT Middleweight Work, Bellator 273, and AEW
Dalton Rosta collides with Duane Johnson at Bellator 273 on Saturday, January 29th. This preliminary bout at 185 pounds transpires at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and broadcasts on Showtime.
I spoke with Rosta at the pre-fight virtual media day. Excerpts from our chat are below.
Dalton Rosta
Working with the likes of Austin Vanderford at American Top Team and the importance of being a middleweight on the rise in the promotion training with someone readying to contend for the Bellator middleweight title
“It’s great. I got him and Johnny Eblen to work with all the time. Just as training partners. They’re both my weight class but there are several other people in the gym that aren’t in the promotion. Or aren’t necessarily at 185 that are really good wrestlers. Really good training partners I get to train with all the time. But since we’re talking about Bellator and the 185-pound division, those two, we’re constantly making each other better every single day.”
“Every time we get to train with each other. There’s always a possibility that we might have to end up fighting each other. But for right now, we’re just making each other get better. We’re getting each other better every single day. And you know, that should scare a lot of other people in the division. Because you got three of the top guys in the division. Three of the best wrestlers in the division training with each other every day, pushing each other. I think it creates chaos for everybody else.”
Dalton Rosta’s appearances with All Elite Wrestling and if an in-ring professional wrestling effort would interest him someday
“Yeah, man, I’d love to. I would love to. That stuff was so fun. You know, I grew up watching that stuff. Any opportunity I get to do it again, I will.”
