Dana White: Conor McGregor may never fight again

Dana White reacts to leaked DM’s; Conor McGregor responds

Dana White is not happy with Conor McGregor and it looks like that feeling is mutual.

Following UFC 253, the UFC president was asked about about McGregor’s tweets in which the Irishmen leaked a conversation he had with White in February discussing possible fights with Justin Gaethje or Diego Sanchez. White did not hold back his feeling on the situation.

“Listen, I’ve had people blowing me up left and right,” White said said in his post-fight press conference. “Everybody here knows, even the ladies. This is some man code stuff, you know? It’s just something you don’t do. It’s one of the dirtiest things you can do.”

In McGregor’s conversation, White was on board with a McGregor and Gaethje. In fact he wanted to book it for July, but McGregor didn’t want to wait that long. As for Sanchez, White flat out rejected the idea from the beginning and last night he once again shot it down .

“We were just talking about Diego Sanchez,” White said, shortly after discussing how much respect he had for the only remaining “TUF 1” alumnus on the UFC roster. “Diego Sanchez is in there in a private conversation I was having with Conor. When you’re the No. 2 or 3 ranked guy in the world and you’re telling me you want to fight but you want to fight unranked, 39-year-old Diego Sanchez in a main event in Los Angeles – no.”

White was also asked as to whether or not McGregor will be boxing Manny Pacquiao in the very near future. White didn’t respond with yes or no; instead he simply reminded everyone about when McGregor posted a photo of a cake saying he was retired just a few months ago.

Of course McGregor had a respond for his boss. Last night following White’s press conference he tweeted that White lied about him not wanting fights. He also said that White is involved in the Pacquiao negotiations with legal letters being present and begged White to stop lying.

McGregor last fought at UFC 246 in January where he defeated Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the main event. There is not set return date for McGregor, but White has said that the international sports star will not step foot inside the octagon until 2021.
