Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 6, Week 5 Results
Dana White’s Contender Series is back again tonight from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with the shows fifth episode of the six season.
On last week’s show, UFC president Dana White handed out contracts to all five winners to bring this years total of fighters to earn a UFC contract to 14.
In this week’s show, Eduardo Neves and Mick Parkin will make the final walk to the octagon as the two will meet in the featured bout of the evening. Both fighters come into their heavyweight fight with 5-0 records.
Neves has earned three straight first-round stoppages which includes a 64 second win over Andre Vieira in his last fight at LFA 126.
Parkin will enter the fight with slightly more experience than Neves as the British heavyweight has eight amateur fights under his belt. He also is yet to go the distance in his professional career as all five of his wins have been by stoppage.
In thought’s co-main event, Darrius Flowers and Amiran Gogoladze go head-to-head in a welterweight bout.
Gogoladze will look to become the next fighter from the country of Georgia to make the UFC roster as the 24-year-old comes into Vegas with wins in nine of his last 10 fights.
Flowers will carry an 11-5-1 record into the fight and he also has a current three-fight winning streak which including a unanimous decision win over DWCS alum Tim Caron.
Tonight’s fight card can be streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
