Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 6, Week 2 Results

Dana White’s Contender Series will have its second episode of the sixth season tonight from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Last week in the shows seasonal debut, Joe Pyfer was the only fighter to receive a UFC contract and UFC president Dana White sent a message to the rest of the season to “Be Joe Pyfer.”

In tonight’s episode, lightweights Charlie Campbell and Chris Duncan will meet in the featured bout of the evening.

Campbell comes into the fight with a 6-1 record including five straight wins. The Serra-Longo fighter is coming off a first-round win over Guilherme dos Santos at CFFC 107 in April.

Meanwhile, Duncan will make his return to the show after being involved in a war with Viacheslav Borshchev, who edged Duncan on the scorecards.

In the co-main event, flyweights Vinicius Salvador and Shannon Ross look to earn a UFC contract. Salvador is a teammate of UFC strawweight Amanda Ribas and comes into the fight with a 13-4 record. Ross is 33-years old and has been itching close to a UFC contract for some time now.

Another notable fight to keep an eye on is Francis Marshall and Connor Matthews.

Marshall is 5-0 and trains under former UFC fighter Kurt Pellegrino. So far in his young MMA career, Marshall has yet to suffer a defeat as he also has a perfect amateur record.

Matthews, who trains under Joe Lauzon, is also 5-0 as a pro and all five wins have come by way of a first round stoppage.

Tonight’s event can be streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
