Demian Maia Vs. Ryan LaFlare To Headline UFC Fight Night Brazil

With Urijah Faber left without an opponent for UFC Fight Night Brazil on March 21st, the co-main event of the card between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare has now been promoted to the main event of the evening. Faber was scheduled to face Rafael Assuncao, however Assuncao has not been able to heal an ankle injury, and the UFC could not find a replacement for Faber.

Maia (19-6) has won four of his last six fights since dropping down to the welterweight division, including a recent victory over Alexander Yakovlev at UFC Fight Night-Miocic vs. Maldonado. Maia is currently ranked seventh on the top 15 UFC welterweight ranks.

LaFlare remains a perfect 11-0 overall and 4-0 in the UFC, with all victories coming by decision. LaFlare has cracked the top 15 welterweight ranks at number 15. The card will air free on March 21.
