Dennis Bermudez sets world record… and it involves lemon juice

UFC fighter Dennis Bermudez has found his way into the Guinness Book of World Records.  Remarkably, the record has absolutely nothing to do with mixed martial arts.

Per the Guinness Book of World Records:

“The fastest time to drink one litre of lemon juice through a straw is 22.75 seconds and was achieved by Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez (USA), in New York, New York, USA, on 17 May 2016.

Dennis is also a featherweight UFC fighter. He broke this record on his second attempt.”

The previous record was for 24 seconds held by Internet fitness personality “Furious Pete.”

Congratulations Dennis.  Hopefully Pete’s not ‘sour’ about the loss.
