Dennis Buzukja seeks first career UFC win at UFC 295
Dennis Buzukja finally in the UFC and while UFC 295 will mark his second UFC fight, one may argue that it is really his highly anticipated debut.
For years, Buzukja has been labeled has big time up-and-coming prospect, but for some odd reason he had a hard time getting that UFC phone call.
Finally, after years of posting wins on Dana White’s Contender Series, Ring of Combat, Maverick MMA and UAE Warriors, the UFC welcomed in Buzukja.

In the summer at UFC Nashville, Buzukja got a call on a Tuesday to fight Sean Woodson on that Saturday.
The situation wasn’t ideal as Buzukja had to cut 22 pounds in three days and he was matched up with Woodson, who is a hard fight for anyone in the featherweight division, Buzukja still accepted the fight.
After years of watching his teammates Aljamain Sterling, Merab Dvalishvili and Al Iaquinta perform in the UFC, it was finally Buzukja’s time. In fact, a few UFC workers had already he was in the UFC since they’ve seen him backstage at events for years.
The build up for the debut didn’t exactly go as planned as Woodson got the better of Buzukja, but given the situated with the short notice fight, Buzukja was still happy with his performance and now he believes with a full camp, he’ll so the fans why he’s been thought of so highly.
In Buzukja’s mind, this is his true debut and he gets to not only do it with a full training camp, but he gets to do it in front of his hometown, family and friends as he lives in New York City.
The excitement has been building and Buzukja cannot wait for the fight.
While he’s been training and working hard to get the win at UFC 295, he’s also proudly representing Albania and the country is truly behind him. In fact, on fight night, Buzukja is expecting there to be a huge amount fo red flags waving throughout Madison Square Garden.
Ahead of his UFC 295 fight with Jamall Emmers, Buzukja spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his excitement for this fight, overcoming the adversity of his short notice, his great training partners and representing Albania.
