Drakkar Klose talks upcoming fight, beef with Jeremy Stephens and being a Detroit Lions fan

Drakkar Klose is thrilled to return to the octagon for the first time since March of 2020. While there is definitely a lot to look forward to in the next few days for Klose, he knows first hand that he can’t get ahead of himself until the cage door is officially locked.

Last year, Klose was set to return against MMA veteran Jeremy Stephens and everything was track for Klose to fight as he made weight the day before the fight. After making weight Klose and Stephens went through the process of the ceremonial weigh ins and that’s where things went wrong.

As Klose stood there for the face-off, Stephens shoved Klose and Klose suffered an injury after being pushed. As a result of the injury, the fight was scrapped from the card.

Now Stephens is no longer in the UFC and Klose wouldn’t mind getting his hand on him in the streets, but in the meantime he’s completely dialed in on his upcoming fight on April 16 at UFC Vegas 51 when he takes on Brandon Jenkins.

Prior to his fight with Jenkins, Klose spoke with MyMMANews to discuss the matchup. He also talked about being in training camp the same time as his girlfriend, UFC flyweight Cortney Casey and growing up as a fan of the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Cubs.

You can watch his full interview with MyMMANews in the video above.
