Dylan Budka

Dylan Budka gets back on track to the big show with quick submission at Renegade Rumble 6

It took Dylan Budka less than two minutes to notch his sixth pro victory, as he submitted Dan Stevenson with a rear naked choke in the main event at SCS: Renegade Rumble 6 in Findlay, Ohio over the weekend.

Budka stepped up two weight classes to heavyweight after his original opponent was forced to withdraw due to injury on short notice. He gave up more than 40 pounds in weight to the former All-American wrestler Stevenson, but “The Mindless Hulk” showed off his power and strength in the victory.

Budka is now 6-2 overall after the win, as he righted the ship after a close split decision loss in a middleweight title bout against Azamat Bekoev at LFA 160 in June. The Demolition Fight Team product is still just 23 years old and now has his sights set on signing with the UFC in the near future.

Another Ohio hometown favorite picked up a win in the co-main event, as Fightopia MMA’s Chelsea Conner (2-3) took home a unanimous decision victory over Chicago’s Marisol Ruelas (1-4). “The Tiny Tank” was also coming off of a decision loss at LFA 152, and she earned her first pro victory since 2017 just a few miles from her hometown.

Rounding out the pro portion of the card was featherweight Jeremy Balboa (2-0), who picked up a split decision over Marcus Crawford (0-3). “Showtime” has now earned his first two pro wins in just over three months.

In the amateur main event, Chicago’s Martin Ruckschlos (5-2) played spoiler with a knockout victory over Hayden Jacoby (3-2) to claim the promotion’s welterweight title.
