Erik Carlsson challenges Abdul Kareem Al Selwady for Brave 13

Erik Carlsson followed up the announcement by Brave Combat Federation on hosting Brave 13 on 9th June at Belfast, Northern Ireland putting forth an open challenge for Abdul Kareem Al Selwady. Al Selwady announced his intentions to compete in Brave 13 recently. Both athletes fight in the lightweight division of Brave Combat Federation. Carlsson had fought in Brave 9: Kingdom of Champions where he fought Ahmed Amir who edged him over a split decision. At the same time, Al Selwady faced Charlie Leary in the tenth edition of the promotion hosted in Amman, Jordan which he won by unanimous decision. A win over Al Selwady will be big for Carlsson. Al Selwady has never been defeated at Brave Combat Federation however had all his fights in front of supporting fans.

Carlsson had changed hims training schedule after facing Ahmed Amir, setting his training camp at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand. Final preparations are taking place at Frölunda Kampsport Center, Sweden. Carlsson has a record of six wins out of his nine appearances.

“I want to be on the Belfast card. It is the first time Brave Combat Federation is coming to Europe and I want a fight. I want to fight Abdul Kareem Al Selwady and gift him his first loss at Brave Combat Federation” said Erik Carlsson.
