Francis Marshall previews his next UFC fight at UFC Vegas 71

Francis Marshall couldn’t of made a bigger impression on the UFC last year and now he’s ready to make his second octagon walk at UFC Vegas 71 on April 22.

In 2022, Marshall fought on Dana White Contenders Series and he picked up a unanimous decision win over Conor Matthews.

That fight marked Marshall’s only career win that went the distance, but in his 15 minute contest he looked great and got praise from UFC president Dana White, who said the fight would have fit in perfectly on pay per view preliminary card.

White would offer Marshall a contract and then late last year, he would make in debut.

In his debut at UFC Orlando, Marshall would take on Marcelo Rojo and in the fight, Marshall would get back into his finishing ways.

Marshall landed a huge punch in the second round of their fight and knocked Rojo to secure his first career UFC win.

The emotions were definitely high last year for Marshall and now in 2023, he is looking to build on his accomplishments from last year.

First up for Marshall this year will be William Gomis.

So far Marshall has been grinding away at Pellegrino MMA in New Jersey to prepare for the fight and he’s expecting to leave Las Vegas with another win on his undefeated record.

Prior to the fight, Marshall spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his debut win last year, his upcoming matchup with Gomis and his plans to get three fights in this year.

You can watch his full interview in the video above.
