Gilbert Burns vs. Tyron Woodley
After many weeks of speculation, the UFC’s May 30 card now has a main event.
Former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will fight Gilbert Burns in the headliner. Burns announced the fight on Tuesday via Twitter. ESPN confirmed the matchup following the tweet from Burns.

As of right now, the location for the card is to be determined. UFC president Dana White is hoping to have the promotions Apex facility in Las Vegas host the event. If Nevada chooses not to allow sports, White has stated that he’ll move the fights to Arizona.
Tyron Woodley (19-4-1) has not fought since losing his welterweight title to Kamaru Usman in March 2019. Prior to the loss, the 38-year-old had won seven fights in a row.
Gilbert Burns (18-3) is coming off the biggest win of his career, when he knocked out Demian Maia in March. He will come into the fight riding a five-fight winning streak.
