Gillian Robertson talks Cortney Casey fight, drama at ATT, Din Thomas’s gym, and more

Gillian Robertson is set to fight Cortney Casey this Saturday at UFC Vegas 3. The two talented grapplers will be putting their ground game to the test.

For this fight, Robertson has been training exclusively with Din Thomas after he coach left the Florida based gym ATT.

“[Din Thomas] leaving ATT is one of the best things to happen to me,” Robertson said. “Just in a selfish way. I get so much more attention from my coach now. He’s not pulled over to attend different fighters. [Now] he’s able to focus his time on me.”

This is Robertson’s first fight during the pandemic. Casey already fought a month ago. Something that could potentially be in her favor, according to Robertson.

“It’s a lot to fight in a short period of time. If she’s there mentally she can bring a good fight to the table. It might make it easier.”

It will be interesting to see if the quick return benefits Casey or if Robertson’s time off will be more beneficial. Either way it’s fair to say both fighters will be looking for the submission.

In this interview, Gillian Robertson talks about the matchup against Casey, training exclusively with Din Thomas, and so much more.
