Giorgio Petrosyan Gives Post-surgery Update After Superbon Loss
Giorgio Petrosyan seems like he is on the mend from a recent highlight reel stoppage defeat.
This prizefight went down at ONE: First Strike, on October 15th from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
After being emphatically knocked out by Superbon, Petrosyan lay stiff on the canvas for several minutes and was stretchered out. A visceral scene that had pundits and fans alike wondering about the health status of the man many see as Kickboxing’s GOAT.
Petrosyan’s brother Armen initially revealed the news to ONE commentator Michael Schiavello who relayed the news via his personal social media thereafter.
Schiavello’s tweet came in the hours following the event and stated, “So many people asking me about Giorgio’s condition. His brother Armen Petrosian just informed me that Giorgio has a broken jaw and undergoes surgery today. Prayers for the greatest and wish him a smooth surgery and swift recovery. God bless you, Giorgio @ONEChampionship“
The Doctor took to his personal social media to address his fan base after his surgery that transpired over the weekend.

ONE Championship hosted their first-ever all-kickboxing card ever last week. Petrosyan vs Superbon served as the top of the marquee attraction. A title clash overtop of an event that also featured Featherweight Grand Prix Quarter-Final bouts and a bruising heavyweight bout.
Petrosyan’s defeat came as a huge surprise to many as he entered the ONE Circle as a former Grand Prix champion and the weight category’s number one ranked combatant.
