GLORY 33 New Jersey

GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the co-headline bout and one-night, four-man Featherweight Contender Tournament match-ups for GLORY 33 New Jersey, hosted by Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ on Friday, Sept. 9.

In the co-headline bout of GLORY 33 New Jersey – which will be carried live on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. ET – Egyptian heavyweight Hesdy “Fighterheart” Gerges (49-16-1, 23 KO), currently ranked No. 5, takes on UFC veteran, Brazilian knockout artist Guto Inocente(31-7, 17 KO).

In the first of two Featherweight Contender Tournament semifinal match-ups, former GLORY featherweight world champion Serhiy Adamchuk (33-6, 16 KO), now ranked No. 2, meets streaking Georgian kickboxer and mixed martial artist Giga Chikadze (35-4, 21 KO), who has won three of his last four fights and is ranked No. 7 in the division.

On the other side of the one-night four man tournament bracket, No. 8 ranked Korean veteran Chibin Lim (69-19, 40 KO) welcomes Toronto’s Matt “Matics” Embree (37-7, 16 KO) to the ring for his GLORY debut.

The tournament winner at GLORY 33 New Jersey, having fought and been victorious twice in a single evening, will face GLORY Featherweight World Champion Gabriel Varga at a later date.

GLORY 33 New Jersey is headlined by heavyweight superstar Rico “The King of Kickboxing” Verhoeven (48-10, 12 KO) of the Netherlands defending his GLORY World Championship for a record fifth time, battling Brazilian challenger Anderson “Braddock” Silva (40-14-1, 25 KO).

Earlier in the evening, GLORY World Champion Simon”Bad Bwoy” Marcus (44-2-2, 24 KO) of Canada and 25-year-old Dutch-kickboxing phenom Jason “Psycho” Wilnis (28-6-1, 7 KO) square off for the middleweight title as part of GLORY 33 SuperFight Series, airing live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 8:30 p.m. ET.
