Fist of Fury 3 Main Event:

In the main event between Tayvonne Thomas and Kevin Membrano, the two fighters held up to fight fans expectations as they went toe-to-toe through three two-minute rounds of high-paced action. Membrano won all three rounds in the contest as he continually had the edge in striking. Thomas showed exceptional heart inside the ring as he accepted the bout on only three weeks notice. Fist of Fury 3 Co-Main Event:

Jason “Jamaica Funk” Downer battled Kyle Troyan through five rounds of tough fought action in the co-main event. The Long Island MMA fighter, hailing from Jamaica, pressed the action as he continued to walk forward throughout the five rounds. Using a series of leg kicks, and right hands, Downer pushed through the counter punches Troyan, which the defending champion relied on throughout the bout. Downer displayed a much more controlled and improved set of striking skills inside the ring. Troyan displayed strong striking skills as he heavily relied on his boxing background. Troyan was on his heels to the entire fight backing against the ropes and Downer’s volume of strikes made the difference on the judges’scorecards.

Downer defeated the Extreme Unique Fitness fighter by unanimous decision to reclaim his Jack Hammer Promotions title. The extremely emotional and passionate Downer made it clear in his post-fight speech he’s got the best cardio in the game. Downer dedicated this fight to his sick mother, and brother, Nicholas, who tragically passed away roughly three weeks ago.

Downer, the Long Island MMA trained fighter is scheduled to make his debut in September on a mixed martial arts fight card. He is now a two-time Jack Hammer Promotions champion.

USA Boxing Bouts:

The night started out with three USA Boxing sanctioned fights. The first fight of the evening was between two warriors in the master’s division. These two young athletes are the future of boxing as they displayed excellent striking, power, speed, and heart during their three-round battle. Hendershott and Valentine went toe-to-toe numerous times blasting each other with heavy shots. Hendershott knocked the headgear off of Valentine numerous times. The Extreme Unique Fitness fighter, Hendershott earned a Unanimous Decision over Valentine, as commentators Kyle Carroll and Bobby Campbell believed the first two rounds went to Hendershott, and the third was snagged by Valentine.

Creed tried to get inside of Lubin to work his striking. The two fighters worked hard to stick to their game plan, but after three hard-fought rounds, it went to the judges’ scorecards.
