Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Ciryl Gane booked for UFC event on March 13
Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane have agreed to fight one another in a heavyweight bout scheduled for March 13. LaSeur.com was first to report the news of the fight.
Rozenstruik (11-1) started his career by winning his first 10 fights including his first four UFC contests. Last year in 2020, Rozenstruik suffered his professional defeat when Francis Ngannou knocked him out in 20 seconds at UFC 249 in May. Rozenstruik did bounce back a few months later by knocking out former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 252 in August.
Aside from Dos Santos, Rozenstruik holds notable wins over Alistar Overeem and former champ Andrei Arlovski. All of his UFC victories have come by knockout or TKO.
Gane (7-0) has wasted no time making an impression on the heavyweight division since making his UFC debut in 2019. He is a perfect 4-0 in the promotion with three of those wins coming by stoppage. Like Rozenstruik, Gane is also coming off a TKO win over dos Santos at UFC 256.
The UFC’s March 13 card will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev. This is the third time the UFC has booked the two to headline an event.
