Jaleel Willis: “It’s time to put up or shut up!”

Interview with Jaleel Willis above

Jaleel “The Realest” Willis has always stepped up to the plate when the time rises. Win, lose, or draw, Willis isn’t afraid to risk or give it his all for the sake of a greater payoff.

Coming off of the heels of a first-round defeat, Willis is eager to hurl himself into the fire once again in a matter of days. On January 29th, Willis enters the cage against multi-promotion veteran, Sabah Homasi in a welterweight contest on the main card of Bellator 273: Bader vs. Moldavsky.

Fully aware of his opponents resume, Willis recalls moments growing up on the wrestling mats where he would pop in from the stands during tournaments on several hours’ notice, only to wind up placing in said tournaments. “I’m always putting myself in situations where it’s time to show people,” Willis confidently says. “People don’t realize that I am a serious f*cking veteran inside the game, too! I just ain’t been televised like bruh has,” Willis says as a friendly reminder. “We (his team) need to be showing these folks, (that) we’re trying to come up the rankings or come up (by) headlining fights. We’ll come up performance-wise,” he emphasizes.

A dominant win over Homasi would definitely put his name on radars of many other welterweights in the division as well as Bellator brass that may have preemptively dismissed him after his last outing. Rest assured, Jaleel “The Realest” Willis is ready to display a masterpiece at Bellator 273.
