I admit I was going a little crazy not fighting, but it made me realize how much I needed to grow. And I’m still growing into being the best me. But you have to thank your coaches and training partners and supporters at home that helped keep your mind in the fight with a long layoff.”
Eagar to showcase his talents to the world again, opportunity would soon come knocking on Brooks’ door with a recruitment offer to compete for One Championship. This will be Brooks’ first run competing for the Asian-based promotional franchise. Brooks is thrilled about his new venture with One Championship.
“It feels great to be in a promotion with so much fresh new competition, “Brooks told MYMMANEWS. “I’m looking forward to my promotional debut.”
Brooks’ promotional debut will take place at One: Next-Gen III, as he will be headlining the show in the main event. Brooks will be greeted in his debut by a formidable opponent. Coincidently, both men were supposed to compete against each other in April of this year at “ONE on TNT 2”. Now the stars have aligned for both men to complete their initial fight plans. It will be a stylistic challenge for both competitors. With intense and extensive preparation, Brooks is looking forward to finally stepping into the cage against Adiwang. Confidence, experience, and the thrill of returning to action will be the determining factors on the road to victory.
“It’s a huge honor to headline a ONE event. I can’t thank Chatri, Matt Hume, and ONE Championship enough for the platform, and I can’t wait to show different portions of the world my Martial Arts. I was getting ready for Hiroba Minowa, but he got hurt, so Lito stepped up, thankfully. It’s a bit stylistic difference different match up for me. But my team gives me the best looks, so I’m confident in preparation.”
