Full interview with Jerimiah (Jay) Delgado above.
Delaware’s premiere kickboxing and Muay Thai promotion, Gut Check Championship Series touches down on Hockessin, Delaware on Saturday, September 24.
Taking place at the Hockessin P.A.L center, and a live feed brought to you by Fight Club Live (FCLTV.com), Gut Check returns to a familiar area to put on one of the best pro/am cards the Delmarva region has to offer.
Set to face off in the co main event of the evening will be Marquez and Gracie MMA prodigy, Jerimiah (Jay) Delgado. Making his kickboxing debut that evening, Delgado has been quite the talk of the gym for being only 17 years young.
Delgado will have his work cut out for him as he’ll be taking on the slightly more experienced, Octavius Slaughter.
“I got a lot to prove, going out there. I just got to make sure I stay focused and stay composed,” Delgado says.
Not shy discussing his plan, “the game plan is to listen to my coaches and make sure the drills are fresh my head bad make sure my hands are up. That’s about it,” he assures.
“I know it’s going to be constant action off of round one,” Delgado predicts. “Hopefully in the later rounds we get the W…We get the knockout. But I know that first round is going to be back and forth action.”
