Jessica Eye vs. Casey O’Neill Targeted for July

The UFC brass is targeting a July 2022 return for former women’s flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye.

It will be no easy return to the octagon, however, as she is slated to face surging women’s flyweight contender Casey O’Neill.

The bout is in the works to take place on July 2nd at UFC 276. Which is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Evil” Eye is looking to snap a three-fight losing skid. In 2020 she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Cynthia Calvillo and in 2021 she lost via unanimous decision to Joanne Wood and Jennifer Maia. As a professional, she holds a record of 15-10-0, 1 NC, and has gone 5-9 since signing with the UFC in 2013.

Despite the recent string of losses, Jessica Eye is a pioneer for women’s MMA and holds victories over some of the very best in the sport. Over the course of her career, she has defeated the likes of Leslie Smith, Jessica-Rose Clark, and Katlyn Chookagian.

Across the octagon will be the undefeated prospect “King” O’Neill. With a 9-0-0 record as a professional, O’Neill has gone 4-0 under the UFC banner. She holds wins over Kalindra Faria, Lara Procopio, and Antonina Shevchenko.

In O’Neill’s most recent outing, she defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision at UFC 271: Adesanya vs. Whittaker 2.
