Joe Rogan Experience

Joe Rogan praises ‘one of the most promising talents in the sport’ Arman Tsarukyan after UFC Fight Island win

Joe Rogan had nothing but praise after watching Arman Tsraukyan pick up another win inside the Octagon.

The 23-year-old had a tough UFC debut where he dropped a decision to Islam Makhachev. Since then, however, he rebounded to beat Olivier Aubin-Mercier at UFC 240 and Davi Ramos last Saturday at UFC Fight Island.

In the fight against Ramos, Tsarukyan’s striking looked like it improved a ton, while his grappling is always dangerous. There is no doubt he a prospect to keep your eye on in the lightweight division. Even before he got to the UFC, he beat the likes of Junior Assuncao and Takenori Sato.

So, following his win over Ramos, UFC commentator, Joe Rogan took to Instagram to praise Tsarukyan. There, he says he will be a problem in the lightweight division.

“This @UFC undercard has some great talent, but this guy @arm_011 is a SERIOUS stand out. At only 23 years old he’s one of the most promising talents in the sport, and a dominant victory tonight over a legit beast like Davi Ramos is super impressive. Keep your eyes on this kid,” Rogan wrote.

Arman Tsarukyan is only 23-years-old but is already 15-2 as a pro and 14-1 in his last 15. Besides his UFC debut, which was made on about a month’s notice, he has dominated his fights. Even in the scrap against Makachev, Tsaruykan showed promise and showed he could be dangerous once he started to develop and gets more Octagon experience.

Now, following the UFC Fight Island 2 win, it is unknown when the 23-year-old will return to the Octagon. But, hopefully, he can get another fight this year and build on the momentum of this past outing.

He also could very well be just one win away from getting a ranked opponent and starting his rise up the lightweight rankings. As Rogan says, keep your eye on this kid, as he could very well be something special.
