Joshua Pacio Tapped To Defend Belt at ONE: Fire and Fury
Joshua Pacio is wasting no time defending his strawweight title. After just defending on November 8th, Pacio is already getting ready to fight in Manila on January 31st at ONE: Fire and Fury. The card will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Pacio is set to take on Alex Silva in his second title defense. Coming into ONE: Fire and Fury, Pacio is 18-3 and riding a two fight win streak. Pacio won the strawweight belt back after losing it to Yosuke Saruta. Last November he made his first title defense this reign when he submitted Rene Catalan via arm triangle in the second round.
Alex Silva is 9-4 and coasting on a cool two fight win streak via armbar in both fights. Silva is a ONE Championship veteran having 12 of his 13 professional fights with the promotion. Eight of Silva’s nine wins have come by submission.
Both fighters are incredibly skilled on the ground and we can look forward to some awesome scrambles in this matchup.
