The card is meant to highlight some of the legends of the sport and brings in some of the most popular fighters of all time.

Julio Cesar Chavez is iconic. One of the most popular boxers of all time, the Mexican sports an absurd record of 107-6-2 with 85 knockouts. His last fight was a retirement loss to Grover Wiley in 2005. Hector “Macho” Camacho is similarly coming out of retirement, having last fought in 2010.

Of course, much of the buzz surrounds Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Senior’s son, taking on the legendary MMA icon, Anderson Silva. Chavez Jr. missed weight for the 183 pound fight and is coming off of a TKO win over Jeyson Minda in 2020. But, after being dismantled by Canelo Alvarez in 2017, Chavez Jr. has been 2-2 being knocked out twice. Anderson Silva isn’t new to boxing and last boxed professionally in 2005. The MMA legend went on to win the Strikeforce and UFC middleweight championship before retiring earlier this year.

Also on the card, Ramon Alvarez, the brother of Canelo, takes on Omar Chavez after his last loss to Lara in 2019.
