“Unfortunately due to injury, I’ve had to pull out of my up coming fight in Perth. I’m gutted I won’t be able to fight in front of everyone in Aus. To everyone who supports me, Im sorry. This has been frustrating but i know I’m making the right decision. Hopefully me and @alexperezmma can run it back next year. Enjoy the holidays and stay safe. Will see you back in the Octagon 2023. Much love everyone!,” Kara-France wrote on Instagram.
Kai Kara-France (24-10 and one No Contest) was looking to return to the win column as he was coming off a TKO loss to Brandon Moreno at UFC 277 for the interim flyweight title. Prior to that, he was on a three-fight win streak with wins over Askar Askarov by decision, a KO win over Cody Garbrandt, and a KO win over Rogerio Bontorin.
Kara-France has been in the UFC since 2018 and is 6-3 inside the Octagon with his other wins over Tyson Nam, Mark De La Rosa, and Raulian Paiva. His other two losses are a submission loss to Brandon Royval and a decision loss to Moreno in 2019.
