Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Yan Xiaonan added to UFC Auckland
Former UFC strawweight title contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz (12-5) will return to the octagon at UFC Auckland on February 22. UFC officials announced an upcoming bout between Poland’s Kowalkiewicz and China’s Yan Xiaonan (11-1).
The card which will be held (Sunday, Feb. 23 locally) at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand will be headlined by a highly anticipated lightweight bout between Paul Felder and Dan Hooker.
Kowalkiewicz, who challenged then champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC 205 in November 2016, has seen a recent skid, losing five of her last seven bouts.
Xiaonan is riding a four fight win streak in the UFC, all by way of unanimous decision.
