Kaytlin Neil excited to make PFL debut on Aug. 18

Kaytlin Neil is officially a member of the PFL roster, and she’ll make her first walk to the PFL cage on Aug. 18 at PFL Playoffs 2.

In her last fight, Neil fought for a chance to earn a PFL contract on the PFL Challenger Series and she picked up a win in that fight by defeating Katherine Corogenes by a unanimous decision.

Neil wasn’t selected for a contract on the show, but the PFL was in contact with Neil and her management team throughout the course of this whole PFL journey as they really wanted her to be a part of the promotion one day.

That day has now come as Neil is set to take on Maira Mazar on Aug. 18.

Neil is super excited for the opportunity and she’s hoping this is the start of a long career with the PFL.

The PFL operations different than the other promotions as the have a regular season and playoffs and since Neil wasn’t a part of the regular season this is likely her last fight of 2023.

With this likely being her last fight of the year, Neil is planning on building a lot of momentum for next year with a win on fight night.

Ahead of the night, Neil made her normal journey from her home in Utah to Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas where she has been preparing for the fight.

Her camp got off to a bit of a slow start as Neil was sick when camp first got underway, but as soon as Neil felt better, she really started to put in some great work.

Syndicate offers Neil a lot of high-level training partners like UFC fighters Cynthia Calvillo, Jasmine Jasudavicius and Juliana Miller. It also provides her with training partners who are built and fight exactly like her upcoming opponent.

Neil feels more than ready for the fight and she’s planning on making her first ever trip to New York City as a memorable one.

Prior to the fight, Neil spoke with MyMMANews to discuss her matchup with Mazar, her excitement to fight in New York and her long-term plans with the PFL.

You can watch her full interview in the video above.
