Kenny Florian previews 2023 PFL Playoffs

Kenny Florian is excited for another PFL playoff series as the promotion will be starting up their playoffs in the coming days.

The PFL commentator will be busy for the rest of the year as the season will be coming to a close and with the playoffs starting on Aug. 4, Florian spoke with MyMMANews to discuss the upcoming season.

On Aug. 4, the playoffs kick off from San Antonio, Texas and a lot of eyes will be on Bubba Jenkins.

The last two years, Jenkins made the playoffs, but he didn’t win the tournament. Now the former Arizona State national champion wrestler will look to make the third time the charm in this years tournament.

Another big story from that card is Impa Kasanganay, who had to work his way back to this point.

Kasanganay was once in the UFC, but was cut after posting a 2-2 record and then suffered a loss outside of the UFC. He would bounce back from those low moments by earning a PFL contract on the PFL Challenger Series and then won both of his regular season fights to make the light heavyweight playoffs.

One week after those exciting matchups, the PFL heads to New York Series for another playoff event.

In that event, the welterweights take the stage in what showcases what might be the most stacked division in the playoff series.

Also, let’s not forget about Larissa Pacheco, who will look to win back-to-back titles after upsetting Kayla Harrison in the finals last year.

Florian loves all the matchups and spoke highly of them all.

He also spoke on the PFL pay per view platform which has added superstars like Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul and Harrison.

Outside of the PFL, Florian also touched on his former home in the UFC as his former opponent Jose Aldo was recently inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame prior to UFC 290.

You can hear everything Florian had to say by watching his interview in the video above.
