Ketlen Vieira and Yana Kunitskaya meet at UFC’s event on Aug. 1
A women’s bantamweight clash between Ketlen Vieira and Yana Kunitskaya is the latest addition to UFC’s event on Aug. 1.
The bout was first reported by MMA Junkie on Tuesday, June 16. The August card is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is no broadcast information available yet.
Ketlen Vieira will return to the octagon for the first time since suffering her only career loss in December 2019. She suffered a first-round knockout to Irene Aldana at UFC 245.
Previously, the 28-year-old won her first four UFC bouts. Her streak included wins over Cat Zingano, Sara McMann, Ashlee Evans-Smith and Kelly Faszholz.
Yana Kunitskaya is coming off a third-round stoppage loss to Aspen Ladd at UFC on ESPN 7 in December 2019. It ended a two-fight unbeaten streak with wins over Marion Reneau and Lina Lansberg.
The Former Invicta FC bantamweight champion is currently 2-2 inside the octagon.
