Kid Yamamoto announces battle with Cancer
Norifumi Yamamoto, more popularly known as Kid Yamamoto to mixed martial arts fans, announces via Instagram earlier today that he is battling Cancer.
The Japanese to English translation reads: “Although it will be a personal report, I will do my best to treat cancer.
I am absolutely energetic and I strongly want to return, so please give me a warm support!”
The popular mixed martial artist did not have the best run while in the UFC but earned his fame while fighting for organizations such as Dream, Hero, K-1, and Shooto. Yamamoto did not earn any wins while with the UFC, dropping losses to Demetrious Johnson, Vaughn Lee, and Darren Uyenoyama. He also had a no-contest with Roman Salazar due to an accidental eye poke.
