Ryan Kim Cafaro, CFFC 73

“Korean Thunder” Ryan Kim Cafaro back in the cage at CFFC 73

I remember Ryan Kim Cafaro as a very raw amateur fighter training at the now defunct LA Boxing.  His story is an amazing journey as he has gone on to become one of the most sought after trainers and technicians in the game.

Recently Cafaro helped UFC bantamweight #1 contender Marlon Moraes prepare for his main event battle in Brazil and subsequently worked his corner and also helped prepare ROC featherweight champion Bill Algeo to successfully defend his title.  Ryan has gotten to sponge knowledge from some of the best in the world like Frankie Edgar, Ricardo Almeida, and Moraes.  He spars with UFC fighters on a regular basis and is not just there to get beat up.  He breaks down the game and analyzes it as well as anybody.

Now it’s Cafaro’s turn to get back to action in the cage.  On March 2, at Parx casino in Bensalem PA, “Korean Thunder” will fight at CFFC 73 and try to improve on his 6-3 career record.  Please check out our video interview above.

I stopped up to visit Ryan at one of his main training facilities, TKO Fitness in Cherry Hill, NJ. He can also be found sharpening his game at Royal Striking and Muay-Thai with Aaron Meisner on a regular basis. Cafaro has a unique perspective on the sport including both regionally and globally.  He is a great communicator.  It’s very easy to see why he has become so popular in the MMA community.

Without their blood, sweat, and tears, he would not be here enjoying every minute.
