The night’s main event will be a battle for the KSW Featherweight Championship, as champion Salahdine Parnasse will put his title on the line against rising star Daniel Torres. With his impressive performances in previous KSW events, Torres is a game breed contender who looks to dethrone Parnasse championship reign.
The co-main main event of KSW 58 features Olympic Gold medalist Szymon Kolecki taking on Martin “King Kong” Zawada. Recognized for his fortitude in battle, Martin Zawada is a long-time veteran in Mixed Martial Arts, whose last appearance at KSW saw him walking away victorious over UFC veteran Thiago Silvia. His opponent, Kolecki, has been nothing short of dominant in his run in the heavyweight division, with his last two victories secured by TKO.
The remaining fights of KWS 58 are not to be overlooked. UFC veteran Guto Incocente returns to MMA action in his KSW debut taking on Michal Andryszak. MYMMANEWS Fighter of the Night: Robert Ruchlea- When you talk about the total package and complete dominance, Robert Ruchlea fits the bill with his performance at KSW 58. While there were some great finishes in the first round by other winners of the night, what makes Ruchlea standout at KSW 58 was the duration of time which allowed him to showcase a wealth skills to the audience. Multiple takedowns, brutal ground and pound, transitions, domination on the feet, and an “out of nowhere” armbar finish in the third round, Ruchlea employed all the elements that define a Mixed Martial Arts fighter.
MYMMANEWS Fight of the Night: Shamil Musaev vs Uros Jurisic- Both men came in with brilliant strategies. Musav showcased a great mix of striking, takedowns, and ground fighting gameplay. Jurisic unveiled terrific skills on the feet while utilizing great counter attacks to slow down Musaev’s takedowns attempts and striking. Aside from the unsportsmanlike conduct amongst both fight teams after the battle, this match’s appealing feature was both men’s skills gelled well to produce a fantastic match.
MYMMANEWS Finish of the Night: Daniel Torres TKO Forearm TKO Finish– Torres was the underdog going into this title fight. In the beginning stages of the round, it seemed as though the champion, Parnasse was flustering his opponent with brutal right kicks and cross jabs. However, the tide would soon change. Midway in the first round, as Parnasse closes the distance on Torres, his left cross hook is countered by a forearm strike from Torres that drops him, forcing the referee to stop the match. The finish was so shocking and unexpected because of Parnasse’s dominance throughout the round.
