Lauren Murphy vs. Miesha Tate rebooked for UFC on ABC 3
After two failed attempts to square Lauren Murphy and Miesha Tate off against each other, the two are now set to meet at UFC on ABC 3.
The two were first scheduled to meet in May and then again next week at UFC 276. Unfortunately, Murphy has been forced off of the card as she posted on Twitter that she is “unable to compete next weekend.”

Today, however, it was announced that the bout has been rebooked for the stacked UFC on ABC 3 card. Which is to take place on July 16th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

Murphy (15-5-0) is the former Invicta bantamweight champion and has gone on a great run since joining the UFC in 2014. With victories over the likes of Andrea Lee, Roxanne Modafferi, and Joanne Wood; Murphy got her shot at the flyweight strap last year. Despite ultimately losing the bout, Murphy remains the #3 women’s flyweight in the organization and will look to hold on to that spot on July 16th.
As the former UFC and Strikeforce bantamweight champion, Tate (19-8-0) has gone 6-4-0 in her last 10 bouts and has defeated some of the best women in the sport. On her list of victories are Liz Carmouche, Jessica Eye, and Holly Holm. Come July 16th, the Tacoma, Washington native will look to get back in the win column and make her way back up the ladder.
