Lenny Rufati on Yohanes Lainesse at CFFC 86: “He gets knocked out round two”

Interview with Lenny Rufati above

In just a matter of hours, Lirim “Lenny The Gorilla” Rufati makes his seventh walk to the cage as a professional mixed martial artist. Boasting a 4-2 record, the Roufusport welterweight prospect returns against Canadian, Yohan Lainesse at CFFC 86 in the co-main event of the evening.

CFFC 86 will take place Thursday, October, 29th at the 2300 in Philadelphia, PA. and available exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. The event sold a limited amount of tickets to follow Pennsylvania state guidelines due to the worldwide pandemic, which are now sold out.

Rufati returns following a dominating performance over DeVon Mosley earlier this year. In the bout, Rufati secured the takedown, advanced to side control while trapping his opponent’s arm between his (Rufati) and ground, and pounding a defenseless foe waiting for the referee to intervene. (And) “Don’t be shocked if that happens again, second round,” says a confident Rufati.

Elated to get back into the cage, Rufati has been consistent with getting as many fights as possible throughout his career. Since 2016, He’s amassed an incredible 16 (Ammy/pro) fights in his short four years as a fighter. Needless to say, the itch to get back in the cage is a certainty.

Discussing Yohan Lainesse, his upcoming opponent, Rufati professes “It’s a fight. anything can happen”, as he continued exuberantly and boldly stating “I know he’s fought bums!” Recognizing potential flaws in Lainesse’s game, Rufati notes, “He’s a big guy. He’s cutting a lot of weight. He’s gonna be gassed right away.” Going on to convey how he intends to get the job done. Come fight night, “Bell rings, I’m going right after him,” he says. Finalizing with, “win and win impressively on UFC Fight Pass!”
