Linton Vassell Bellator 254 Pre-Fight Media Scrum

Heavyweights Linton Vassell and Ronny Markes will collide at Bellator 254 on Dec. 10.

Bellator 254 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, and is headlined by a flyweight championship bout between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Juliana Velasquez.

Vassell (20-8, 1 no contest), who moved up to heavyweight after dropping back-to-back fights to Ryan Bader and Phil Davis in Bellator, is coming off a second-round knockout victory over longtime staple MMA veteran Sergei Kharitonov in November 2019.

A two-time Bellator light heavyweight title challenger, Vassell is winless in his last three outings before bouncing back against Sergei Kharitonov. Vassell, 36, fell short in his heavyweight debut March of last year, losing a unanimous decision to Valentin Moldavsky.
