Former CES MMA lightweight champion Nate Andrews will square off against Goiti Yamauchi in a lightweight bout on the Bellator 254 main card.
Bellator 254 takes place on Dec. 10 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, and is headlined by a flyweight championship bout between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Juliana Velasquez.
Andrews, 36, won nine consecutive fights with CES MMA before a recent 1-2 stint with Professional Fighters League. Andrews concluded his 2019 PFL season with a majority decision loss to Chris Wade in the playoffs last year. “The Snake” is 16-3 as a professional.
For years, Andrews was widely regarded as one of the best 155ers not signed to a major promotion after winning 15 of his first 16 professional fights. The former CES MMA lightweight champion as previously mentioned went on to sign with the Professional Fighters League in 2019.
Andrews also hasn’t competed in over a year, with his last bout taking place in October of last year. Andrews has competed a total of 19 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
