Louis Neglia, Ring of Combat

Ring of Combat President Louis Neglia chats ROC 66 preview and champs on the horizon

129 UFC fighters and counting, including three former world champions, have first worked on their craft with Louis Neglia and his Ring of Combat mixed martial arts promotion before getting called up to the big stage.

There is no other promotion even in their realm, as far as continually hosting and providing for future-star studded events in the regional mixed martial arts community. I’ve been very lucky to see many of them from cage-side.  No ROC event goes by where there aren’t a huge contingent of alumni in attendance.  Lou goes out of his way to acknowledge his “family”.

This is fight week for Lou’s friends and family, so I reached out to the gentleman who has set the standard.  Please listen to our interview below on the link below.

On Friday night, November 16, 2018, ROC 66 future-stars takes place in their normal home of  Atlantic City, N.J. The Tropicana Hotel and Casino Resort will once again be filling the Showroom with fight fans for the final time of 2018.  There are several title elimination bouts setting the tone for the night.  Kyle Daukaus (4-0) is the second ranked middleweight in Pennsylvania according to Tapology.com  He takes on Dustin Long (7-4). Joe Solecki (5-2)  goes at it with Gil Patrocinio (7-2) in another highly anticipated elimination at lightweight. Another fight I’m looking forward to seeing is the pro debut of Lenny “the Gorilla” Rufati as he challenges the Tiger Schulmann Fight Team’s Andy Segovia (1-0).

Lou and I also chat about two ROC champions who could be the next to get the call.  “Senor Perfecto” Bill Algeo (featherweight champ) and Phil “the Hitman” Caracappa (bantamweight champ) are both coming off of spectacular wins at ROC 65 and are waiting in the wings preparing to defend in February at ROC 67 unless they get a call sooner.

MyMMANews will be cageside with live updates and a full recap on the night. Stay right here.
