Lou Giordano of Loutrition and Jose “Shorty” Torres Talk Nutrition and Fight Plans
Titan FC flyweight champion Jose “Shorty” Torres joined weight management specialist Lou Giordano, of Loutrition, tonight for an hour-long seminar on Facebook Live, where the two proved be a dynamic (and comedic) duo in the MMA world.
Lou had planned to host the seminar at Bloomfield Elks in Bloomfield, New Jersey but unfortunately Mother Nature had a different plan.
Shorty is two weeks out from his first defense of his Titan FC Flyweight title against the veteran, Pedro Nobre. The fight will take place on January 21 at the Watsco Center in Miami, FL.
Torres is 3-0 as a pro fighter. He is predicting a third round TKO after stating that his opponent lacks conditioning.
Shorty believes Nobre’s weakness is moving back too much, and plans to use his own strength of pushing forward and applying pressure to his opponent to his advantage.
Giordano, who has been working with Shorty for a year now, has Torres on his nutrition plan.
As part of the plan, Lou has Shorty eating five to six meals per day, depending on the intensity of his training. Giordano doesn’t have his clients cut weight; instead he helps them manage it.
Having worked with big names like Jon Jones, Anthony Pettis, and Johnny Hendricks already, I am excited to see what 2017 has in store for Lou.
