Marcin Tybura scores comeback TKO against Greg Hardy

Marcin Tybura returns against Alexandr Romanov in August

Top 10 heavyweight, Marcin Tybura, is set to return to the UFC octagon against Alexandr Romanov at UFC 278.

We last saw Tybura in October of 2021, when he lost a unanimous decision against Alexander Volkov. Prior to that bout, Tybura was riding a five-fight win streak, having defeated the likes of Sergey Spivak, Ben Rothwell, and Walt Harris. As a professional, he holds a record of 22-7-0, with a UFC record of 9-6-0.

Meeting Tybura in the octagon will be Romanov, who holds an unblemished professional record of  16-0-0. Previously under contract with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle Fighting Championship, Romanov came to the UFC in 2020 and has defeated the likes of Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Jared Vanderaa under the promotion.

We last saw Romanov at UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Vera, where it took him less than a round to defeat Chase Sherman.

Come August, Tybura will look to get back in the win column and hold on to his #10 spot as Romanov will look to go 17-0 and break into the top 10 of the division.

UFC 278 takes place on August 20th at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
