Marvin Vettori to McGregor: “You are scumbag, I hope to see you soon”

Number 3 ranked UFC middleweight, Marvin Vettori, took to Twitter today in response to a recent tweet by former UFC double-champion, Conor McGregor.

Just yesterday, McGregor put out a tweet calling #6 ranked lightweight, Beneil Dariush, “the biggest nobody in the company.”

In response, Vetorri called McGregor a “Bitch,” and a “scumbag.” He tells McGregor, “you couldn’t last 2 min with Beneil and that’s just a fact.”

Also hopping into the action was notable athlete manager, Ali Abdelaziz, who stated that Dariush “will kill this punk.”

As good friends, Vettori and Dariush both train together at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, California, which is probably why Vettori stepped in to call out McGregor about the statement. At the moment, Dariush (21-4-1) does not have a bout scheduled, while Vettori (18-4-1) will meet Robert Whittaker in September.

McGregor (22-6-0), on the other hand, is still out on injury but is looking to return soon. Last week, he toyed with fans about his potential return.

As he looks to return, we could see him match up with anyone from Dan Hooker to Michael Chandler or lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

What do you make of this altercation? Will anything come of it?
