Matt Hamill hammers pins for Joey – Raises Awareness and Funds for Joe Lauzon’s son
Before last weekend’s UFC Ultimate Fight Night 50, a preview of Joe Lauzon’s upcoming fight with Michael Chiesa told the story of the past 9 months of Lauzon’s life. His son, Joey, was born with Neuroblastoma, otherwise known as a form of cancer.
His life turned upside down, but with the help of modern technology things started to improve. One downfall however was that Joey sustained significant hearing loss and will likely never be able to hear.
Enter Matt Hamill. The former UFC light heavyweight fighter was born deaf and is proof that hearing impairment does not mean the end of the world.
